Pan's Labyrinth
How did I miss this? Where was the publicity? Is it because it's a "foreign film" with subtitles?
My buddy David tipped me off to a new movie, released in December, called Pan's Labyrinth. Rotten Tomatoes says: "Pan's Labyrinth is Alice in Wonderland for grown-ups, with the horrors of both reality and fantasy blended together into an extraordinary, spellbinding fable. Told through the eyes of a little girl whose imaginary world is inhabited by nightmarish creatures, Pan's Labyrinth is a visually imaginative and allegorical take on the fears she faced in Spain during WWII."
The reviews are GLOWING.
Do yourself a favor and log onto the movie's site (www.panslabyrinth.com) and then choose "VIDEO" and watch the "TRAILER."
As the trailer says, "In darkness, there can be light. In misery, there can be beauty. In death, there can be life."

I can't wait. It's coming to the Naro in my neighborhood in a couple of weeks. I had never seen RT give so consistent praise for any movie.
For a foreign film, actually, I think its publicity is doing pretty well.
The movie opens in Atlanta tomorrow (Jan. 19th) and I plan to go see it with some friends. Looks like an intense movie. Can't wait!
It's interesting. I seem to be seeing things for it left and right. I saw a preview at the Naro, and then I read about it in a magazine, and then I saw about it online, and now I read about it in your blog!
I'm planning on seeing it. Sounds like a great movie.
got a good review in Rolling Stone.
Saw the movie last night. Just posted my review at http://wildfaith.blogspot.com/

There was a great article in Entertainment Weekly this week about this movie...I haven't heard or read a single bad review...how much do you want to bet it won't make it to Anderson?
oohh, just read your friend's review, nevermind about not hearing anything bad:)
