I (heart) Halloween

I've come to a realization this year: I think Halloween is my favorite Holiday.

Now, I know that's not true for most people, but:

  1. I love all the ghost and monster specials on TV
  2. Dressing up in a costume, ringing someone's doorbell and getting candy ... how freaking cool is THAT?
  3. I think it's extremely healthy and balanced that our culture has a day which celebrates the "Shadow" side of life
  4. A good scare can be a lot of fun
  5. My daughter in her Elmo costume is way cute
  6. I'm looking forward to seeing all the little ghosts and ghouls ringing my doorbell tonight
BOO!

Trev,

Thanks for this. I was thinking of writing a post about how Halloween is my second-LEAST-favorite holiday (Fourth of July is first), but I'm glad you like it.

I wish we lived close enough so Kalli could Trick or Treat at our house! I'll save all the left over candy for her when she comes for Thanksgiving. Check out our blog and see if Kalli recognizes Mimi & Papa in our Halloween costumes.

Soooo cute!

Man we miss the younger age...but adjusting to preteenager. Things change, a living lesson.

I always loved Halloween too. We used to rent scary movies and have pajama parties, kids everywhere. I like scary movies and the "shadow side".

All the kiddies have been so cute so far...even a few advanced teenagers have been by. It's all good.

Have fun!
