...and the bottom drops out

I'm playing a 45-minute set at a local bar tonight - WITHOUT MY BAND!

The bottom has fallen out - the support has been removed - the crutch has crumbled.

We were asked to play, but when I told him my band was unavailable, he said "Well, we still need a spot if you want to play an acoustic, solo performance."

So here we are. It should be fine, I suppose, except when people go to a bar, they want to hear a rockin' band, not a dude with his guitar on a stool singing stripped down versions of his songs.

Ah, well. I'll give 'em hell anyway. Here goes nothin'...

....and in the morning, all was fine, the set was groovy, and everyone dug it 'cause it's good stuff. that's my take, and i wasn't even there. gotta check out trevdiesel.com more often and see what's up, i think.

that about right?

UPDATE:

It went very well, of course. Sold a number of discs and had a fun set. There's nothing like getting a room full of people to do the "ahh-ahh's" in the chorus of "Easy Like Sunday Morning".......

Come to mention it, TOMORROW is Sunday morning. It's 2 am now, gotta get up at 6 am.

This Sunday morning AIN'T gonna be easy...
