Weekend

My post from last week was entitled "A little lightness for your weekend."

As it turns out, my weekend was anything but light... on the surface, anyway.

1.) We took my daughter, Kalli, to the emergency room twice between Friday and Monday. On Monday night she was admitted to the hospital where we stayed until Tuesday at 6 pm. It was nothing too serious, just a very bad stomach bug, but she was dehydrated and had to be connected to an IV. She's doing much, much better today.

2.) One of my best friends' dad died suddenly and unexpectedly.

3.) Another of my friends' brother's apartment caught fire - losing pretty much everything.

Please send prayers and love out all around. At the core of the universe is a great Silence and Peace - but out here on the periphery it sure gets ugly as hell sometimes.

I am sorry to hear of this misfortune and glad to know Kalli is now doing ok. The worst experience is watching your child suffer. I know it is hard to sometimes see the order. I constantly find myself seeking explanation, forgetting the depths of the great 'Silence & Peace'. Knowing this Silence and Peace to be our true nature is a hard lesson, made even harder as we watch others suffer.

Lord, I believe- help me with my unbelief.

Sending prayers and Love out all around.

for all we know this might be hell; but if it isn't and there's something worse out there, raking in all the burned out coals from the fire, it can't be good at all.

"life is suffering"

as i was walking in this morning to campus, i decided the way i would like to pray for others is to ask that they learn positively from ALL experiences, even those we consider "negative."

I am holding you and your family and friends in the Light. There is a great Silence and Peace in the core of our universe, and holding the Light helps it to extend out to our periphery where sometimes, life is damn serious.
