Sticky Fingers

My wife is being punished for her klepto, beer-stealing ways by Newton's Third Law, Karma, or some combination of the two.

Twice in the last few months she has taken one of my quality beers (without asking) and made food out of it.

First it was bratwurst boiled in - get this - Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Wow.

Now, tonight, it was Beef Stew, marinated in a bitter, pungent IPA - which, as you can tell by her post - she didn't care much for.

It was either Jesus or Elmo that said, "You reap what you sew." Ya, take that, ye Bogarter of Beers.

yeah... but the brats turned out totally awesome.

I'd recommend it again too...

Ewww... but definitely not the IPA. Nope never again. Tastes like shit while drinking and tastes like shit in food.

Chocolate...bratwurst? I'll have to take your word for it. (Unless I'm ever in your area... then I'll have to try some!)

Jon, be not confused. A chocolate beer does not a good bratwurst make. That "Wow" was a wow of ... confusion and sadness.

I understand- Cathy & the girls think nothing of using my Grey Goose to make, of all things, daiquiris. I just don’t get it.

Hang in there-

I work in a Greene King pub in England and IPA is our best seller. Does that mean that us brits have no taste?

I'm going to with probably...

Sigh.

No, No, Tim - don't get me wrong. I absolutely love IPAs - they are one of my favorite beers, hands down. My wife is the one that doesn't like it - though, I'll be honest, it didn't make the best beef stew.

God love IPAs.
