If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay

Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star, like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are, how fragile we are

On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star, like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are, how fragile we are
How fragile we are, how fragile we are

["Fragile," Sting]

Having been away from news and computers for a time was a great break- but discovering "news" is distressing.

My brother in law, Buford, really enjoyed your discussion this week, Trev. We spent some time this weekend talking about your question, rehashing points, enjoying the warmth of contemplation.

What's the topic for this week?

Thanks for the opportunity to learn.

Thanks for the feedback, Tommy. Glad to know that it spurred on more conversations - and real life ones at that! :)

Wow, I think I'll go back to the day-by-day posts for a while... no "pressing" themes come to mind right now.
